Monochrome Life - My First roll of Black and White
I've been doing photography of all sorts for may years now, and I've really never experimented with Black and White, I've only ever shot color, occasionally flipping a photo to monochrome in post, but I've never just trusted the process and shot black and white.

So I finally decided to do it, I loaded up my Bronica S2A with a fresh roll of Kentmere Pan 400, and decided to try out black and white, while admittedly it's fairly basic, just around my house, and at the neighborhood park as I took my daughter to play at the playground. I just wanted to get a feel for the film, and see what some shadows and textures turned into.

While none of these shots really particularly "speak" to me, I do love the textures, and contrast of black and white, especially in 120. But I think this was a good first roll to take away the "scariness" of shooting something unknown.

Since this roll I've already shot another roll of black and white, though that one is 35mm, which I'll post a story about when I get it off to the lab for dev and scan.

Overall, I think it's a fun new medium, and I've got a handful of rolls of black and white film to shoot, and some thoughts on what I need to go do, so I really look forward to digging deeper into this medium of film as I think there's a different perspective to be seen.
